Julius graduated from Southwestern High School and, on August 4, 1958, married Rosalie Carta.
A proud Army veteran of the Korean War, Julius carried forward a steady sense of duty throughout his life. He worked as a Union Carpenter and, prior to that, as a truck driver with Hennis Trucking. He was also a member of the Carpenters Union, a commitment that reflected his respect for honest work and the fellowship found in shared craft.
Julius found joy in life’s simple pleasures and in the company of others. He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, karaoke, and dancing, and he was known as someone who genuinely enjoyed people and was deeply social—always ready to share a conversation, a laugh, or a song.
Julius is survived by his son, J. Craig Degregorio (Kimila), and his daughter, Kimberly Gardner (Bill). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Nicole Adams (Jason), Justin Degregorio (Donna Malone), Tony Degregorio (Miriam Sunderman), Nicolas Gardner (Sarah), Eric Gardner (Liuyan He), David Gardner (Fiona Nanney), Taylor Degregorio, and Cristian Degregorio; as well as seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
