Keith Dale Nickerson

We're sorry to announce that Keith D. Nickerson, 87, passed away at his home in Lady Lake, Florida on July 21, 2026. Keith was born in Greencastle, Indiana on January 23, 1939 to Daniel and Verna (Lasley) Nickerson. Keith graduated from Cloverdale High School in 1957 and later attended Rose/Poly Technical College and graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree. He worked for Clay County Rural Telephone Co in Indiana for over 20 years. He opened a successful Western Auto store in Cloverdale, Indiana. He moved to Eustis, Florida in 1978. Keith went to work for United Telephone of Florida/Sprint and retired in 1999 after a very successful 19-year career.

Keith spent 20 years as the Cub Scout and Boy Scout Master of Troop 93 in Cloverdale, Indiana. He was a Vice President of the Scottish Rite of Terre Haute, Indiana and a member of Cloverdale Masonic Lodge 132 for 50 years. Keith was also a member of the Orlando, Florida Bahia Shriners' Club.

Keith loved the outdoors, fishing, boating, and traveling in his RV all around the USA and Alaska. He enjoyed cruising the Caribbean and Europe. Keith had a gracious heart - always helping family, friends and neighbors. He was respected and loved by all that knew him.

Keith is preceded in death by his parents, six older brothers, two older sisters, and his wife.

He is survived by his three children- Timothy (Yvonne) Nickerson, Tamala Nickerson, Gregory (Holly) Nickerson and three stepchildren; three grandsons, Christopher (Karin) Nickerson, Jason (Debbie) Nickerson, Trenton (Kaitlyn) Nickerson; one granddaughter, Marlee (Tyler) Waddell; and six great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Harden-Pauli Funeral Home, 1617 South Bay Street, Eustis, FL 32726, US, on August 22, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at the same location on August 22, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
