Lisa will be forever remembered for her kindness, compassion, and the warmth she shared with everyone she met. She had a special way of making people feel like family. If you made friends with Lisa for a day, you had a friend for life.
Her loving spirit and beautiful heart will remain forever in the memories of all who knew and loved her.
Born on December 23, 1966, in Orlando, Florida, to Conrad Stanley Kilian Sr. and Virginia Mary (Webb) Kilian, Lisa lived a life defined by her devotion to God, her family, her friends, and, most of all, animals; especially those in need.
Lisa attended Boone High School and went on to pursue her lifelong passion for learning. She completed her General Studies at Toccoa Falls College before continuing her education at the University of Central Florida (UCF), where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Later, she returned to UCF to earn a second bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Lisa built a beautiful foundation for a fulfilling life and a meaningful career as a Registered Nurse (RN), proudly following in the footsteps of her beloved mother. Through her nursing career, she found another way to live out the compassion, care, and kindness that came so naturally to her.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lisa found joy in the simple things in life. She loved caring for her pets—and often cared for other people’s pets, too. She enjoyed traveling, baking, reading, genealogy, taking naps on rainy afternoons, watching her favorite television shows, posting on Facebook, and drinking unsweetened iced tea. She loved watching the wildlife in her backyard and beautiful sunsets, listening to 80s music, and, of course, collecting Highland Cow treasures, just to name a few.
But perhaps Lisa’s greatest passion, next to animals of course, was the people she loved. She cherished spending time with family and friends and making sure those she cared about always felt connected and remembered. Her relationships were precious to her, and she had a remarkable gift for turning friendships into lifelong bonds.
Lisa’s commitment to her community, her heritage, and her profession was reflected in the many organizations and honors she held throughout her life. She was a charter member of the Fort Christmas Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of the Louisa May Alcott Chapter of the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and a member of the Florida Epsilon Chapter of Pi Beta Phi Alumni.
Her dedication to caring for others was also recognized through her receipt of the Daisy Award, an honor that reflected the compassion, kindness, and exceptional care she brought to her work as a Registered Nurse.
Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Anthony “Tony” Daniel Sabatino; her mother-in-love, Ann Marie Sabatino, and father-in-love, Robert Sabatino; her brother, Conrad Kilian Jr., and his wife, Nelly Kilian; her sister-in-law, Debbie (Sabatino) Pomé, and her husband, Marlon Pomé; her niece, Elizabeth (Kilian) Prescott, and her husband, Adrian Prescott; her nephew, Conrad Kilian III, and his wife, Andrea Kilian; her nephews, Christopher Kilian, Jesse Pomé, and Eli Pomé; her niece, Makaela Pomé; her grand-niece, Freya Kilian; her grand-nephew, Pierce Prescott; and her cherished cat, Mr. Biscuit.
Lisa was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Conrad Stanley Kilian Sr. and Virginia Mary (Webb) Kilian; her grandparents, Conrad and Stella Kilian, and Paul and Mary Webb; her aunt, Ruth (Webb) Polley and her husband Joseph Polley; and her great-aunt and great-uncle, Olwyn (Webb) Crystal and Jack Crystal.
Lisa will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held on Saturday, November 14th, at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Mt. Dora, 1000 E. 1st Ave., Mt. Dora, FL 32757.
We would be grateful for your presence as we come together to honor Lisa’s life and memory.
