Mary “Nancy” Coffey, 84, was born on November 10, 1941, in Jenkinjones, West Virginia, and passed away on April 14, 2026. A longtime resident of Sorrento, Florida, Nancy will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude for the quiet grace of her presence and the steady warmth she brought to those around her.
Her home was a place of comfort, her words were a source of wisdom, and her love was steady, unconditional, and unwavering. She taught us how to be strong without losing softness, how to love without limits, and how to find joy even on the hardest days.
Nancy moved from Pine Hills to Central Florida in 1957, beginning a new chapter that shaped the years that followed. In the simple constancy of home and family, her considerate nature and calm strength were always evident — offered not in grand gestures, but in the steady, tender ways that endure in memory.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, John Coffey; her daughter, Rita Kay Fisher; her son, Tony Coffey; her brother, Maxwell Williams; her sisters, Bobbie Williams and Janice Emerson; her brother, Tommy Williams; and her granddaughter, Rachael Elizabeth Fisher.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Cydney Fisher; her grandson, Wesley Coffey; and her nephew, Travis Emerson.
Nancy’s legacy lives on in the love she gave, the strength she modeled, and the countless quiet moments of kindness that will continue to echo through the lives of those who loved her.
