Robert "Bob" Carroll, 67, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on October 28, 2026.
Born on July 4, 1959, in Clearwater, Florida, Bob was the son of William "Bill" and Nancy Carroll. A proud Floridian throughout his life, he carried a strong work ethic, independent spirit, and deep love for family and friends.
Bob graduated from Eustis High School in 1977 and went on to build a successful career as a Maintenance Mechanic and Welder-Fabricator. Known for his skill, ingenuity, and ability to fix just about anything, he dedicated many years of service to Wolverine Gasket before retiring in 2019.
While Bob took pride in his work, his greatest joy was found on the water. He loved anything saltwater and spent countless hours deep-sea fishing, scalloping, and lobstering in the Florida Keys. A true Florida native, Bob never passed up an opportunity to enjoy fresh seafood, especially a bucket of oysters shared with family and friends. Whether casting a line, diving for lobster, or sharing stories from his latest adventure, he was happiest near the ocean.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife Karen; his son, Christopher, and daughter-in-law McKayla; his sister, Kathy (Tracy) Wilt; his sister-in-law, Kathy (Rick) Korb; brothers-in-law, Roger (Carol) Pluedeman and Richard (Wendy) Pluedeman; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Bill" and Nancy Carroll; his in-laws, Russell and Lorraine Pluedeman; and his grandparents.
In accordance with Bob's wishes, no formal service will be held.
