Saddie Mae Lee, 81, of Eustis, Florida, passed away on June 17, 2026. Born February 4, 1945, in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, Saddie was the daughter of Weed and Lucille Scott. She was raised at the levy and grew up as one of a large family, with 11 full siblings and 2 half siblings—an upbringing that shaped a steady, giving spirit and a lifelong devotion to those she loved.
Saddie’s life was defined by work done faithfully and without fanfare. She worked for Howe Industries for over 20 years, and alongside her husband, Marion, she helped run a shoe shop in downtown Sanford. Together they also co-ran Lee's Feed and Farm Supply store in Eustis, Florida for 20 years. Even after retirement, Saddie continued working on the farm—still tending to what needed tending, still showing up each day with the same quiet determination and generous care that marked every season of her life.
On April 8, 1961, Saddie married Marion Lee in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. That same year, they moved to Central Florida, where they built their home and raised their family. Saddie and Marion were blessed with two children, Teresa and Michael. Family was at the center of her world, and those closest to her will remember how she poured herself into the everyday moments—especially around the table. She was known for her love of coffee, her homemade cornbread, and deviled eggs that appeared faithfully at every event, offered with the same warmth and selflessness that made others feel cared for.
Saddie’s personal interests reflected the life she lived: family get-togethers, long days of work, and time spent on the farm. Her work was her life, and she carried it with devotion—often working two jobs while also taking care of the animals and her family. She found purpose in the greenhouse and satisfaction in a day spent doing for others. And when a full day finally allowed a quiet moment, she enjoyed watching her favorite soaps, The Young and the Restless and General Hospital.
Saddie is survived by her husband, Marion Lee Jr. of Eustis, FL; her daughter, Teresa Lively (John Reynolds) of Eustis, FL; her son, Michael Lee of Eustis, FL; her sisters, Lorraine Baker (John) of Mount Sterling, KY and Reba Hall of Indianapolis, IN; her brothers, Albert Scott (Diana) of Palmetto, FL, James Harper (Erica) of Lexington, KY, Weed Monroe (Carolyn) of Mason, OH, and Larry Scott (Julie) of Okeechobee, FL; her grandchildren, Eric Lively(Samantha), Wayne Lively Jr (Jennifer), Amber Lively, Alyssa Nolan, Jessica Kasch-Lee (Raedyn), and Brittany Lee; and 9 great-grandchildren.
In all the ways that matter most, Saddie gave freely—of her time, her labor, and her heart. Her devotion to family, her hard-working hands, and her generous spirit leave a legacy that will be remembered with deep respect and enduring gratitude.
A visitation will be held at Harden Pauli Funeral Home in Eustis on Monday, June 22, 2026 from 5 to 6 PM. Funeral Service will be at the Praise Cathedral Church of God in Eustis on Tuesday, June 23, at 10 AM with interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Eustis.
