Sherry enjoyed reading, thrifting, listening to rock ’n’ roll, watching True Crime TV, getting her hair and nails done, and most of all, spending time with her children and grandsons. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who would have moved mountains or walked through fire for her family. Sherry’s heart was always open to helping others, and her spirited soul inspired everyone who knew her. Fierce, fiery, and deeply loyal, she showed her daughters the true meaning of strength, devotion, and unconditional love.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Dean and Scott Cooper, and her mother, Shirley Niehaus. She is survived by her daughters, Amber Thompson of Ocklawaha, FL, and Nikki Siblod of Eustis, FL; her brothers, Doug Cooper of Georgia and Gilbert Niehaus of Jacksonville, FL; her cherished grandchildren, Kyle Swim, Zaiden Swim, and Rhett Thompson; along with numerous extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Ferran Park in Eustis. In honor of Sherry, guests are invited to wear her favorite colors—pinks and purples.
