Shirley Irene Detraz, 84, passed peacefully on June 25, 2026. Born July 17, 1941, in Maynard, Arkansas, Shirley later resided in Tavares, Florida. She will be remembered for her warm smile and the gracious way she made everyone feel welcome, leaving an enduring impression through steady kindness, loyalty, and a generous spirit that touched all who knew her.
Shirley was the beloved daughter of the late Earl and Jessie Davis; the wife of her late husband, Dorris Eugene Detraz; and the mother of her late daughter, Sherry Marie Detraz. She was a dear sister of Vada Jean Hardy, the late Ouida Hicks, Verneal Bohn, Earl L. Davis, and Kenneth Davis.
Services and a celebration of life will be held on July 17, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Wickshire Collier Assisted Living, 3301 McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater, Florida. A reception will follow.
Shirley will be buried with her husband at Sylvan Abbey Cemetery in Clearwater, Florida.
