Shirley Nall Parsons

Shirley Nall Parsons, 85, passed away on October 3, 2026. Born November 8, 1940, in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late William & Virginia Nall. In the late 1940’s, she moved from Kentucky to Florida, where she made her home in later years in Tampa, Florida. Shirley served faithfully as a church bookkeeper, a role that reflected her steady sense of responsibility and the quiet care she brought to the work entrusted to her. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Umatilla, and dedicated to her husband, son and community. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Gary L. Parsons. She is survived by her son, Michael L. (Vanessa) Parsons of Tampa, FL; her brother, Wayne Nall of Palatka, FL; two sisters, Marsha VanAtta of Tampa, FL, and Dorothy Munro of Miami, FL; and three grandchildren, Andrew, Logan, and Brody. A Graveside Service will be held at Umatilla Cemetery West, Golden Gem Dr, Umatilla, FL 32784, on October 9, 2026, at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 550 Hatfield Drive, Umatilla, FL 32784.
