C. Elaine Lashley Lane, M.D.

88, of Indianapolis returned to the arms of her Savior on October 12, 2017. She enjoyed her childhood in both Evansville and Louisville. Elaine married and raised 3 children, Scott (Patricia), John (Karen) & Becky. She adores her 7 beautiful grandchildren, 6 beautiful great-grandchildren and extended family as well. She graduated from I.U. School of Medicine in 1957, and ministered as an Internal Medicine Physician on the west side of Indianapolis for over 38 years. She served over 50 years in leadership positions at Speedway United Methodist Church (SUMC) leading many to Christ. Elaine loved music, sang in college choirs, played college tennis and basketball, loved gardening, doing puzzles, and above all spending time with her family. She lived a life full of beauty and grace.

Services will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11am at the Speedway United Methodist Church with calling on Saturday from 9am – 11am at the church. Elaine will be interred at Alexander Memorial Park in Evansville, IN with a graveside service held at 3pm CT Saturday, October 14, 2017.
