

Carolyn graduated from Reitz High School in 1959. She worked for the Evansville Printing Corporation, DeJongs's, and Midwest Equipment. She was a member of Old North Church and always helped at the Fair Trade Market, the Altar Guild, Marge Copeland Circle, and was actively involved at the church. Carolyn was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved children, especially babies, and was one of the most compassionate people you would ever know. She had a wonderful wit and sense of humor.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert; children, Tamara (Paul) Elpers of Wadesville, Lori Ann (Wesley) Knight of Evansville, Robert Ray (Debra) Bell, II of Evansville, and, Steven Bell, Sr.; grandchildren, Carissa, Cody, Caylee, and Ciara Elpers, and Jeremy, Heather, Trevor, and Zailey Bell, and Steven Bell, Jr.; eight great grandchildren; brothers, William, Donald, Glyn, and Mike Pfohl; and, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, September 22, 2014 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. Mike Monahan, Rev. Glyn Pfohl, and Rev. Mike Pfohl, with burial following in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Monday 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
