Darla Jean Eakins

Darla was born in Evansville, Indiana on July 31, 1957 to Donald and Dorothy Jean (Ipock) Uhde. She was a member of Keck Church and worked at Welborn Hospital and Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

Darla is survived by her daughter, Ashley Eakins of Evansville, IN; father, Donald Diamond (Jo Nell) of Evansville, IN; sisters, Donna Flanigan (Tim) of Evansville, IN, Carol Peerman (Bill) of Mt. Vernon, IN; brothers, John Quirk of Evansville, IN, Larry Quirk of Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren, Dakota Slayton, Aly Meredith and best friend, Debbie Seib.

Darla is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Jean (Ipock) Uhde, brother, Duane Ray Diamond and a nephew, Joshua D. Diamond.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Rev. Richard Sorrels officiating. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 10:00 AM until service time at Browning Funeral Home.
