Deane Tenison, 85, of Evansville, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014, at Deaconess Hospital. She was born February 4, 1929, in Evansville, to the late Arthur, Sr. and Mary Stierly.

She was an Avon representative in Posey County for forty years and was also homemaker. She was a member of Wadesville Christian Church.

Deane was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Jesse Tenison; and her parents.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Charlie) Hirsch of Wadesville and Linda Engbers of Indianapolis; son, Rick (Judy) Tenison of Wadesville; brothers, Arthur (Betty Ann) Stierly, Jr. of Evansville, Harold (Susie) Stierly of Wadesville and Don Stierly of Poseyville; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of West River and Deaconess Hospital.

Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, April 7, 2014, at Alexander West Chapel, followed by entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
