

Edna started working for the Dentist Supply Company of New York in Philadelphia where she told her kids she made teeth. She met her future husband at the USO dance when he was stationed in Philadelphia. They were married in 1947 at St. Boniface Church in Evansville. She worked at Deaconess Hospital and Citizens National Bank.
She was on the Girl Scout Council and was a Girl Scout Summer Camp Leader. She was an honorary lifetime member of the Tekoppel School PTA for her volunteer work with the school librarian tutoring kids to read. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church since 1947, where she was an active volunteer. Edna was a member of St. Rita
Auxiliary #228 of Evansville and St. Bernadette Auxiliary #280 of Haubstadt.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Alfred Reisinger in 2007; sisters Gert Hindley and Ruth Dunn; and brother, James Schmitt.
She is survived by her daughter, Judith Becher (George) of Huntingburg, IN; sons, Daniel Reisinger (Ruth) and Robert Reisinger (Micki) both of Evansville; daughter, Frances Adams (Rod Simpson) of Henderson, KY; son, James Reisinger of Henderson, KY; grandchildren, Steve Becher (Karen), John Becher (Verna), Laura Reisinger, Darren Reisinger (Kelly), Robert Reisinger II (Penny), Jacob Reisinger (Jill), Katie House (James), Christine Sherrill (Jimmy Boyd); 14 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Sacred Heart Church, officiated by Fr. David Nunning, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Tuesday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, with a Memorial Service at 6:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel.
