He served in the US Army during the Korean War and retired from Frank's Remodeling. Gene loved fishing and gardening.
Eugene is survived by wife of 65 years, Lois; daughters, Kathy Hatfield (Steve), Barbara Briody (Gary), Deborah Drone (Ken), son, Kenneth Edge (Carol); 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Polly Moser (Leroy).
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to nurses, Tracy, Nikki and McKendra, and the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, April 14, 2017, at Alexander Memorial Park – Heritage Chapel. Friends may visit 1:00 PM until service time on Friday at the cemetery.
