George Thomas Cole

George was an avid card player, member of the Owls and enjoyed going to the horse races at Ellis-Park. He faithfully attended Grace Church of the Nazarene. He was an Army veteran.

After retirement from Sterling Brewery, he had a mail route. He lived on Johnson Lane for 53 years.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Cole; sister, Bessie Arvin; brothers, Jim, Robert and Paul Cole; and stepson, Frank Howell.

He is survived by his son, Joe Cole (Ruth); daughters, Georgenia Davis (fiancé Bubby Turley) and Nona Evans (Larry); Stepchildren, Larry Howell, Steve Howell (Sandy) and Julie Granderson (Bob); three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and brothers, Ellis Cole (Judy) and Nelson Cole.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Brett Doninger, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Tuesday from 10:00 AM to service time at the funeral home.
