Ida Mae Selma Harty

She was a lifetime member of St. John's United Church of Christ downtown. Ida Mae worked as a cashier at Deaconess for more than 30 years. She loved playing cards and shopping, and she was a very good cook, but her main interest was her family.

Ida Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Harty; daughter-in-law, Susan Harty; grandson, Troy Braker; brother, John; and sisters, Henrietta, Marie and Esther.

She is survived by her son, William "Bill" Harty; daughter, Sherri Allgood (Ray Evans); granddaughter, Cindy Braker; grandson, Chris Allgood (Allison); great-grandchildren, Zoe, Ebby, Grace, Katie; and constant companions, Coco and Harper.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, December 12, 2016, at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Rev. Johnny Kincaid with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 2-5 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital Transportation Unit.
