He attended Kingdom Hall and was saved in the Church of the Nazarene. Jim was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and playing the guitar.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Constance Vowels, sisters; Pauline Willis and Edna Jackson; and brother, Raymond Boyd.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Adrienne (Muth) Boyd; daughters, Kay Lincoln, Melody Ankers, Linda Holm; son, James Boyd; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Barrett, Alice Robertson, Shirley Land; brother, Elbert Sutton; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, December 15, 2014, at Alexander West Chapel with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 2-8 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
