Kenneth G. Spears (September 16, 1930 - February 20, 2013)

Kenneth G. Spears, 82, of Evansville went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Westpark Rehabilitation Center Kenneth was born in Central City, KY on September 16, 1930.

Kenneth loved his family. He served in the Korean War. Kenneth was in the body shop business and enjoyed remodeling houses and small wood projects in his spare time. After retirement, Kenneth liked to meet with his friends at Hardees and Burger King in the mornings.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his brother Robert Spears, daughters Susan Wright, Rita Sodrel and grandson Jason Jourdan.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 59 years Helen Spears, son Steven Spears, daughters Judy Jourdan, Sandra Maynard (Tim) and Karen Smith. Kenneth leaves 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, all of Evansville. Also surviving are brothers Randall Spears of Evansville, Bill Spears of El Paso, TX, sisters Betty Keith of Evansville, Shirley Spears of Valparaiso, IN and Doris Ruggs of Warsaw, IN.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Friday, February 22, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Pastor Troy Boulware officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 pm until 7 pm, Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel and again from 9am until time of service at 10 am, Friday.
