

Lana Sue (David) Kellen age 67 of Evansville, IN went home to Jesus on Thanksgiving Day November 24, 2016 at St Mary's Hospital, Evansville, IN. She was the daughter of late Paul “Bud” David and Joyce (Tafel) David. Lana was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Lana was born on April 21st, 1949 in Evansville, IN. She graduated from Central HS in 1967 and attended USI.
She started her career at the Evansville State Hospital in her early 20's. There she found a special love for those who were not well and cast out from society. Few years later she moved to Henderson, KY and took a position in the dietary dept for The Henderson Memorial Hospital. Lana returned to her special love of The State Hospital after 17 years of service to The Henderson Memorial Hospital. In 1996, she transferred to Fort Wayne State Development Center in Ft Wayne to start a new adventure in life and to be closer to her parents. She retired in 2007 after making a large impact on those who met her and those who worked with her. In 2010, after her father, her rock, past away she returned to her roots in Evansville, IN to complete her full circle in life and "Get the party started" for Evansville/Henderson but most of all for her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter. It was never a party until Lana Banana got there!
She loved being with family and her friends and most of all being in the Smokey Mountains.
She is survived by her daughter, Jama Neuhoff and husband David of Evansville; granddaughter, Darby Forbes of Evansville; step-grandson, Noah Neuhoff of Evansville; brother, Jerry (Dorphia) David of Mankato, Minn; sister, Susan (Tom) Yeager of Ft. Wayne, IN; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with her brother, Reverend Jerry David officiating.
Burial will be in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
