She retired from GE/Sabic Innovative Plastics after over 26 years of service. She enjoyed growing plants and loved music, dancing and gardening.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Charles Abel.
She is survived by her husband, Kenny Barnes; children, Shawn (Missy) Knowles and Ginnie Barnes; grandchildren, Drew and Keely Burkhart, Dakota (Kendyl) Knowles; Jimi and Gracie-Lynn Henderson; siblings, Suzi (Don) Leal, Stephanie Lockyear and Stephan Abel; uncles, Brad (Debbie) Morris and Phillip (Nancy) Morris, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private burial services were held at Alexander Memorial Park.
