Margaret "Evelyn" Haralson, 83, of Newburgh, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Deaconess Gateway. She was born September 18, 1929, in Nashville, TN to the late Charles F. and Myrtle (Wallace) Melton.
She was a member of Newburgh United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed being a part of her Sunday school group. She was also an active member of the YMCA.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Haralson; and grandson, Jeremy Farmer.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Larry Haralson, Jim W. Haralson and Chuck (Lisa) Haralson; daughter, Carolyn (Jerry) Farmer; grandchildren, Susan Burek, Deserae Mohr, Heidi Groppenbacher, Laura Walker; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
