Myrna S Spurgin

Myrna graduated from Reitz High School and Indiana State University. She was an elementary school teacher in Flint, MI and Mankato, MN. Myrna enjoyed the time at her home in New Harmony where she and her husband made many friends and acquaintances. She supported her husband John traveling with him to different Universities, where he taught.

Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, John M. Culley and Genevieve (Hunsinger) Bootz; daughter, Shawn Spurgin and brothers, Larry and Jerry Culley.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Spurgin; son, Timothy Spurgin, PhD. (Gretchen Revie) of Appleton, WI; twin grandchildren, Stephen and Genevieve Foster and their parents, Charlie and Kim Foster; cousin, Jane Ann Garden; aunt, Constance Hunsinger and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N First Ave, Evansville, IN 47710.

Funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2015, the funeral home with Rev. Sandra Boulineau officiating.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
