

Paula Lewis, 71, of Newburgh, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Charlier Hospice Center. She was born December 15, 1945, in Springfield, Kentucky, to the late Chester and L. Clarice (Sweazy) Goatley.
Paula was actively involved with Eastminster Presbyterian, PEO, Evansville Duplicate Bridge Club and recently took up painting. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Nash. She was an X-Ray Tech at Welborn Clinic for many years and retired from Deaconess Hospital.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bob Lewis; step-son, Ron Lewis; son, J. Carter Lewis; and daughter, Rebecca Conen (Bruce); grandchild, Nash Conen; sister, Janet Husband (Bill); brother, Bill Goatley (Judy) mother-in-law, Mary E. Strong; sister-in-law, Barbara Combs and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Alexander Memorial Park, Mausoleum Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, officiated by Rev. Dennis Davenport, with entombment to follow. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Alexander Newburgh Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital .
