She enjoyed cooking and canning.
She is preceded in death by her twins, Donald Ray and Donna Faye; her late husband, William F. Moorhead, Sr. whom she will be placed next to upon the time of burial.
Phyllis is survived by four children, William F. Moorhead, Jr. (Mary), Duvonna Alverson (Jeff), Vada Moorhead-Schmitt, and Keith Moorhead; three brothers; three sisters; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Johanna Sumner Webb, with burial at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 12:00 PM until service time at funeral home.
