

After graduating from Bosse High School, Ralph served in the U.S. Marine Reserves for 2 years. He worked as an Insulator for Local #37 for many years and retired in 1991. Ralph and his late wife, Elizabeth, enjoyed their winters in Palmetto, Florida. All of their snowbird friends knew Ralph for his love of music, dancing and karaoke. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, and Elks Lodge in Palmetto, Florida. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He truly enjoyed spending time with his large family.
Ralph is survived by his children, Mike Hajek, Danny Hajek (Barb), both of Evansville; Becky Hampton, Debbie Bitter (Joe), both of Evansville, Libby Dix of Newburgh, Vicki Fulton (Sam) of Evansville, Lonna Downard (David) of Hendersonville, TN; step-children, Don Stallins (Kathy) of KY, Mark Stallins (Emma) of Henderson, KY, Chyrell Jameson (Butch) of Princeton, KY, and Pat Summers (Bob) of Mt. Carmel, IL; 27 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, brother, Jack Hajek (Shirley) of Evansville, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Hajek in 2002, brother, Don Hajek; and step-sons, Mike and Tim Stallins.
Visitation will be 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville. Visitation will continue after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2017, until service time at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Father Henry Kuykendall will be officiating.
Burial will be in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery, Evansville.
