

He was born to Raymond and Ida (Hendricks) Hahn on the family farm on Seminary Rd.,in Union Township on December 15, 1936, at the beginning of the 1937 flood. He attended Barker Elementary School on Old Henderson Rd. and Reitz High School, graduating in 1954. Bob and Billie Jo Myers were married on September 7, 1957; at St. John UCC downtown. In May 1958, he joined the Evansville Fire Department and after 36 years of service, he retired in 1994 at the rank of Captain. Also in 1958, he joined the Indiana National Guard, serving 6 months active duty and 6 years reserve duty.
During their retirement, he and Billie spent 16 winters in Ft. Myers, FL. He was a member of American Baptist East Church.
Survivors include wife, Billie Jo; son, Robert W. Hahn (Mary Kay); grandchildren, Jacob, Kristen and Katherine Hahn; sisters, Rosalee Bogard and Ruby Deutsch (Don), and sister-in-law, Mary Rowe (Mike). Also surviving are many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ida (Hendricks) Hahn; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Gwen Hahn; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Oliver Swalm and brother-in-law, Stan Bogard.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Jeff Stratton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 3 pm until 7 pm, Friday, September 16, 2016 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel and again from 9 am until time of service at 10 am, Saturday.
