

Sara was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, where she volunteered in the Food Pantry. She worked as a shift leader for Love’s Truck Stop in Haubstadt. Sara enjoyed reading and attending car shows and races with her fiancé, Jonathan, but more than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and raising her daughter, AnaMarie.
Surviving Sara are her daughter, AnaMarie Harvey; her mother and stepfather, Michele and Duke Dockery of Evansville; fiancé, Jonathan Sheehan; brother and sister in law, Michael R. and Michele Short, Jr; niece, MaKayla Short; grandmother, Fran Dockery, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Sara was preceded in death by her father, Michael R. Short, Sr; by grandparents, Sam and Girlene Short and Lue and Dolores Montgomery and by great grandparents, Mason and Lillian Farthing.
Funeral services for Sara will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Oak Hill Baptist Church, 4615 Oak Hill Road, Pastor Alan Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Thursday at Oak Hill Baptist Church.
