

Shirley was born in Evansville, Indiana on August 18, 1935 to the late Ellis and Duma (Schroader) Hines. She graduated Reitz High School class of 1954. Shirley began her employment at Sunbeam Plastics then Imperial Plastics before working for 26 years in the cafeteria at Glenwood School. She retired from Tekoppel Day Care after 7 years of employment. Shirley loved spending time with her kids and grandkids and was a former member of the All City Orchestra.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Doris Cook (Rob) of Haubstadt and Donna Dudley-Jones of Newburgh; sons, Gerald Basham-Dudley of Newburgh and Donald Dudley of Boonville; a brother, Donald Hines of Evansville; grandchildren, Michelle and Mallory Cook, Kevin, Heather, and Courtney Jones, and Alivia Dudley; and great-grandchildren, Makailah, Maddison, Makennah, Tyler, Rylan, Kylie, Brennan, Daphne, and Wednesday.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Doyne Dudley in 2014; son, Don "Buddy" Hines Jr. in 2016; her parents; brothers, Gerald, Ellis, and Kenneth Hines; and a grandson, Matthew.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Browning Funeral Home 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN, 47711 with Jeannie Browning Hester officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, July 22, 2016, and again from 10:00 AM until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
The family would like to request that everyone wear pink to the service in honor of Shirley.
