

He loved to ride motorcycles, especially his Honda Goldwing. He also enjoyed watching drag racing, hunting, fishing, four wheeling, playing softball, and the outdoors. He served his country as a US Marine and was stationed at Paris Island, SC. Walter dearly loved his six grandchildren and "adopted grandkids" at West Side Independent League.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Walter A., Sr. and Esther Ermling; wife, Kay Ermling; and grandchild, Picklehead.
He is survived by his daughter, Polly Seibert; son, Walter Scott Ermling; grandchildren, Brittany Seibert, Peyton Reed, and Charles Michael, Stephanie Kay and Brooklyn Ermling; brothers, Mike (Billie) Ermling and Thomas (Francis), James (Pat) and Dave Burke; and sister, Tonya Jarrell.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 7, 2017, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Clarence Smith, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
