

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She especially loved "my boy," grandson, Eric. Maxine worked as a payroll clerk at Bucyrus-Erie; a scheduler at Kent Plastics; and most recently in the offices at Integra Bank. She was an avid Reitz Football and IU Basketball fan.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Don "Tweezer" Williams, in 1989; parents; and neighbor and friend, Ruth Tison.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Williams and Donna (Kam) Schmitt; grandson, Eric Williams; great-granddaughter, Kelsey Lefler; cousin, Murriel Alvey; and lifelong friends, Verna Hudson and Shirley Hill, all of Evansville.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, October 6, 2014, at Alexander Memorial Park in Chapel of Remembrance, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, officiated by Rev. Terry Gamblin, with entombment to follow. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 West Illinois Street.
The family would like to thank the nurses and techs at Pine Haven Nursing Home, Stocker Units 1 and 2, with special thanks to Lisa and Hillary for giving us three more weeks with our mom and grandma; the nurses and techs at Deaconess Hospital's Cardiac ICU and Palliative Care Unit; and the nurses and techs at Deaconess VNA Charlier Hospice Center.
