

Aleta Westlund was born on November 20, 1984 to Ezekiel and Virginia Hernandez in Dallas, Oregon. She grew up in Dallas and lived in the Salem area for many years. She attended Chemeketa Community College where she learned how to weld. Aleta graduated from The Oregon School of Massage.
Aleta and Christopher Westlund were married on January 4, 2014. Together they have a daughter, Lotus. Aleta enjoyed teaching Lotus about animals, nature, arts and crafts, music and different cultures. Aleta’s passions include cooking, being outdoors, ocean fishing, animals, and she loved helping others. Her favorite movies were Alice in Wonderland, Nightmare before Christmas, and the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy.
She passed away on September 26, 2020 in Lake Stevens, Washington. Aleta is survived by; her husband Christopher and daughter Lotus; mother, Virginia Hernandez; brothers, Ezekiel Hernandez, Vicente Hernandez, and Alex Hernandez; her many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews. And not to be forgotten her beloved dog, Oso. She was preceded in death by her father Ezekiel Hernandez, and her dogs, Anubis, Sparky, and Sweet Pea.
A celebration of life gathering will be held in Everett, Washington on October 11, 2020 at Evergreen Funeral Home at 11 am. There will be another held in Salem, Oregon on October 24, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Home at 11 am
