Beloved sister, aunt and friend
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7
Ana Timar passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15th at 11am in her sister's Tamara and her brother-in-law, Cornel's home in Edmonds, WA.
Ana was born on September 2nd, 1961 to father Augustine and mother Ana in Ludus, Romania where she was raised and lived her early years.
She is the 10th child of 17 children.
Her siblings in order include: Violeta, Petrea, Jennica, Augustine Jr- called "Tuti" (who has passed away), Maria called "Mariuța", Ioel (who passed at birth), Cornel, Timotei (who passed at birth) Leia, Tamara, Iudita (who has passed away), Timotei called "Titi- her pal", Dan (who has passed away), Iosif, Beniamin, Iacob.
She attended grade school in Ludus and then went to Cluj where she competed two years of college.
After graduating, she worked in a dairy factory in Turgu Mures and then went to work in a dairy factory in Ludus for roughly five years.
She then moved to America in 1983 to join some of her family who had moved to Fullerton, California.
Ana worked at Calcor Space for some time and then obtained a position at a hospital in Santa Ana, California working as a certified nursing assistant. It is here where Ana discovered her passion to care for those in need. She spent the remainder of her working years in various facilities as a CNA and in home caregiver. It is through this passion of hers that she had a personal encounter with the Lord and decided to dedicate her life to God through the act of water baptism.
She traveled back to her hometown in Ludus, Romania with her oldest sister Violeta in 2008 where she was able to show her public act of declaration to God with water baptism by Pastor Toma in the Mures River where she had previously spent her early years.
In her spare time Ana enjoyed: talking with her siblings whether near or far, watching a variety of tv shows, anything to do with nature, and playing games with her family.
Ana had plans to travel back to her hometown in Ludus after she retired to raise chickens, ducks, harvest fruits and vegetables to live out her remaining years with her family there.
Unfortunately, God had a different plan for her life.
On October 15, 2023 Ana became ill with an unknown cause. It wasn't until December 4th of that year that the cancer was discovered. She had immediate surgery done to remove the cancerous tumor however due to the size of the tumor and her stage four diagnosis the doctors were unable to remove the tumor entirely.
She spent the next two years battling this cancer diagnosis. Despite the 40 chemotherapy treatments and 6 radiation treatments the cancer was too severe and on November 6th of this year Ana was put on hospice.
She is survived by her many siblings, nieces' and nephews, and friends that she thought of as family.
Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all those who showed support over the past two years after Ana's diagnosis. To the Providence Oncology team: Dr. MacGee, Dr. Bellevue, Dr. Bolton and all the other nurses and staff. To the Providence hospice team who were available at all hours of the day to assist in the care for Ana while she was on hospice.
Our deepest gratitude goes out to all who have shown support and in honoring the memory of Ana.
