Tony passed away on May 24th 2012. Tony was born May 13th 1963 in Seattle, WA to David Dorgan Jr. and Carol (Webster). He was number 6 of 7 children. He attended Seattle schools until the family moved to Stanwood where he graduated from Stanwood High School in 1981.
Tony’s love for life and adventure had shown through by his pro-level water skiing, camping and racing motorcycles, which went with his saying “gas on, brains off.” For several years he drove the boat for the “skiing Santa” on Lake Washington. He was a journeyman carpenter and proud of his work. He loved to work with his hands and would go out of his way to help anyone with home carpentry projects. He enjoyed music, his favorite was the blues.
Tony had a nickname for almost everyone, especially his sisters; Sissy, PeaNutty, PaulyWally and DeeDeeLou. He was considered the “fun” uncle. When he bought the kids toys, they were ones that he could also play with. The favorite was playdough finger puppets, which Tony nicknamed “fingledudes”. The neighborhood kids would come by his home as he sat out on his porch, making toys for them – then shot them mercilessly with a Super Soaker.
Tony had a wonderful sense of humor, always making us laugh with a comment, joke or just a phone call with “I got a silly question for ya,” usually about how to cook something, how long before food goes bad or “when are the motorcycles races on?” Tony never missed one of our very large family gatherings or camping trips and couldn’t wait for the next one. This year’s camping trip he helped plan will be in his honor.
Tony is preceded in death by his Father David Jr., Survived by his Mother Carol, Brothers; David (Laura) and James. Sisters; Therese (Jim), Carolyn (John), Paula (Harry), Diane (Brad). Along with his nieces and nephews; Shawna, Jeremy, Erin, Nicole, Kirsten, Crystal, David and Molly, 10 great nieces and nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and many cousins and friends. We love you and will miss you always, “see you around the corner.”
