Ardis and I met when she brought her Boxer puppies into Northgate Veterinary Clinic where I had just started working. She was so kind and knowledgeable, and always so pragmatic. I then rented a home next door to her famous kennel, and while living there learned so much from her.

We stayed connected for years, as I worked my way up through the dog ranks as a licensed tech and then buying and running my own pet boarding kennel for 35 years! We spoke regularly, always enjoying sharing shop and dog show talk. Ardis was so proud of her son and grandchild, lamented about growing older and the struggles of aging on a still active body and mind. I miss this wonderful lady so much.

I so wish I had known of her passing, my Christmas card was returned and the phone disconnected. Such a hard way to learn my friend and mentor was no longer in this world. She was a very special human being and I was blessed to have her guide me into adulthood.

It was a joy to meet you at your Mom's graveside service.   It was  so great to have known your Mom for many years at First Covenant Church of Everett.   
She was sweet, kind and we had many times of laughter.  We would visit while serving food to the homeless on Wednesdays.   I loved the conversations, hugs and smiles we shared.
She will be truly missed.   
God's peace, joy and love to you as you grieve.

Ardis and I have been best of friends since we started first grade at Naples, Idaho. After 12 years of school and graduation from Bonners Ferry, life took us in different areas to live, but we continued to be close friends, keeping in touch with phone calls and letters. We both turned 97 years old this year.  A lifetime of friendship. I will miss chatting with her.
