Arlene Elizabeth Erickson of Lake Stevens, Washington, went to be with the Lord on June 6th, 2021 at the age of 86. She passed away peacefully in her home with her devoted husband, Lloyd, and daughters, Lori and Karen, by her side.
Arlene was born March 28, 1935 in Arlington, Washington to Clare and Florence Cort. Arlene is survived by her husband of 67 years, Lloyd, daughters Lori (Jim) Hubbard, Karen (Jim) Crowley, Cheryl (Ron) Turner, 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, brother Ed (Lillian) Cort, and 2 pups Milo and Tucker. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and by her sister, Barbara.
Arlene and Lloyd had a love story of the ages. They met at a restaurant in Everett in 1950 and married after Lloyd returned from the Korean War in 1953. Together they raised their three daughters and enjoyed time with family and friends. She was in a bowling league, was a Bluebird leader and taught Sunday school, among other things. Arlene loved to talk to each of her girls every day and enjoyed hearing what her grandkids, and eventually great-grandkids, were up to that day. She attended school and sporting events and was always present for her family’s milestones. In between spending time with family, Arlene and Lloyd enjoyed traveling to Harrah’s Casino in Reno and to Angels of the Wind Casino. Arlene was dedicated to Lloyd until the very end, never wanting to leave his side. The true love she had for her husband, and he for her, was the ultimate model for her family. She will be greatly missed.
