After attending school Balzer enlisted into the United States Army and was stationed in Germany
during the Korean War. Balzer moved with his family to Washington State in 1969. Balzer worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad and retired after 43 years of service. He enjoyed entertaining with family and friends. He had a great love of “Old Time Country Music” and dancing to Polka any chance he could. When he wasn't dancing and listening to music with his friends you could find him tinkering on a project out in his shop.
He is survived by his four children, Barry (Anne), of Monroe Wa., Bentley (Norma), of Bothell Wa.,
Brian (Tracie), of Monroe Wa., and Bobbie (Jeff), of Kona Hi. His sisters Antonia Brossart and Rita Gefroe. His brother Marcus Weigel. 10 grandchidren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Dad, we love and we will miss you so very much.
