Barbara Ellener Ramstead

Barbara passed away peacefully on October 26, 2011. She was born on July 24, 1930 and was a lifelong resident of Everett.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Corky" Ramstead.

Barb is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Tom Easley; son, Scott Ramstead; grandchildren, Cami, Tara, Sara, Jon and Katherine; great-grandchildren, Ayden, Jared, Ali and Davis; brother, John Gaffney; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Jean Ramstead; and many nieces, nephews and good friends.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ann White and Helen Moser; her parents; and grandparents.

Barb worked for the Everett School District for almost three decades. She started as a secretary at Hawthorne Elementary School and retired from the school district as a Human Resources Manager in 1992.

She had a great heart and enjoyed volunteering at the Providence, Colby Campus, Twig shop. She also loved spending time with her friends at Trinity Lutheran Church, making crafts for the annual craft fair and served on the board of the Everett Senior Center. Her favorite way to spend her time was hanging out with family and friends, she would always run into people she knew everywhere she went.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2324 Lombard Avenue, Everett on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at the home of Tom and Dianne Easley.
