Bill was born on May 14, 1939, in Missoula, MT, grew up in Everett, WA, and graduated from Everett High School in 1957. After high school Bill met his sweetheart Janice Taylor, they were married for 54 years before she passed away in October 2013.
Bill began his career in construction with Northwest Construction as an Equipment Operator, and worked his way up to retire as a Superintendent for Tri State Construction. Bill played a leading role in constructing a large number of roads, highways, interstates and bypasses in Washington State.
Bill spent his life outdoors, enjoying hunting, camping, working in his yard, and even was a licensed pilot who loved to fly. Family was the cornerstone of Bill’s life, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and always put them first.
Bill leaves behind his two sons, Richard Schumann (Dawn), David Schumann (Marsha).
