Everett, Washington: Mrs. Carilyn "{Cari}" Foster {Goodwin} went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Providence Medical Center on Monday, December 4, 2023, in Everett, Washington at the age of 61.
Cari is survived by her husband, Charles (Chuck) Foster of Lake Stevens, Washington, daughter, Noel Bowder and husband Matthew Bowder of Everett, Washington, and sister, Sharilyn Oberg and husband David Oberg of Federal Way, Washington. Cari is also survived by many cousins and friends. Cari is preceded in death by her parents, James and Deanna Goodwin of Kirkland, Washington, and brother James Roland Goodwin III.
Cari was born on September 19, 1962 in Seattle, Washington to Jim and Deanna Goodwin She graduated from Juanita High School in 1980 and attended Shoreline Community College studying nursing. Cari married Chuck on July 20, 1996, in Kirkland, Washington. Her daughter, Noel, was born December 19, 1997.
Cari loved her family very much. She enjoyed the many vacations they took together, specifically Seaside, Oregon every January. She loved it when Noel would come over and stay at the house. They would do crafts together, watch Christmas movies and drink hot chocolate. Cari also enjoyed playing games with family and friends especially Craig and Stacy Matthews and Mark and Karlyn Vogal.
Cari was passionate about caring for others. She served as a home healthcare assistant for many people. Each of her clients were very special to her and she often went above and beyond caring for these individuals. Cari also loved sewing and being creative. She made quilts for new babies in the church. She also enjoyed baking and cooking. Many families and friends enjoyed the fruits of her labors. Cari was an active and devout member of Calvary Chapel Everett.
There will be a celebration of life at Calvary Chapel Everett after the first of the year. Her celebration of life will be live streamed for those who cannot attend in person. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to National Autism Association, Calvary Chapel Everett or a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the hospital staff at Providence Medical Center for the excellent care and compassion they showed to Cari and her family and friends.
