Missing you during the holidays. You always took the time to make it special for everyone.   Here is your granddaughters experiencing the heart of Jesus at candlelight service. You taught us so much on our faith filled walk. From valleys to the mountain tops we are never alone. Love you momma!

Merry Christmas Momma, my world is not the same without you here.

When the family came to Nebraska and stayed with the Petersen family...... we went out for walks and Carolyn taught me how to take a "Bluebell" bud off the stem and then suck on it till the flower popped open.I had never dreamed of doing such a thing. Of course I was a few years younger and thought Carolyn was absolutely the most wonderful cousin to have!

I am sad that I misses the opportunity to get to know this beautiful woman better, but I cherished the time I did get to spend with her.  Now let me tell you, that lady had style, she always wore such beautiful bright colors that just made her look radiant. I just wish I could pull off those colors half as well as she could. She always had on the perfect outfit and accessories and her joyous smile was just the thing to brighten anyones day.  My favorite moment with Carolyn was when i met her in church one Sunday when Mellissa and her family were out of town for a vacation, I think to Vegas.  We sat together during service and ended up staying after for about 30 minutes just chatting. She thought Mellissa was crazy for driving her WHOLE family down to Nevada, and I couldn't disagree. Then she started to talk about her daughter and how grateful she was of everything she had done for her. The love she had for Mellissa was just overflowing. She talked about her grandchildren and was tickled pink to share some of Sally's most recent antics, even reminicing about when Melissas three children were Sally's age. There was no doubt that her heart was overflowing with love for her family and was a very joyous mom and grandma. Her spirit of style and joy has deffinetly been passed on to Mellissa.

Mom. Forever missing you.  Im so thankful for the  of love and mercy you offered.  You taught me to always be humble and kind.  To give forgiveness and love.  Through you I learned acceptance of myself and of others.  Your spirit is alive in me and you are always on my mind.  You were brought home before my heart was ready.  You were ready and with no regrets.  You were a woman of great character and loved by many.  Missing you dearly.

Missing you so much. I'm thankful for all that you taught me. The love and support you always showed me. Your unwavering faith and beautiful smile. You taught me to be strong. You taught me to love.

Dawn and Missy, your mom gave the meaning to "Elegance".  Always smiling and always looking for the positive in life.  What a treasure to have known her as a cousin.

Carolyn was always wearing a warm smile every time I saw her.  She could really light up a room!  I only knew her for a few short years, but I will always remember what a kind, genuine, loving lady she was to me and everyone around.   She is missed dearly.  I am blessed to have had the chance to get to know her.
