Charles was born in Everett Washington to Jean and Allen on 2/24/1961. He passed away on 6/17/2023 after a long and courageous battle with multiple health issues.
He grew up in Everett and attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School (yes he was an altar boy) and Everett High.
Charles was a dedicated husband to his wife Barbara and they built a life in Everett, working, vacationing and pursuing their hobbies. Charles had many hobbies including reading, movies, and board games and crafting his miniatures. He had a steady hand and would spend hours making them perfect.
Charles, or Chuck as he sometimes went by, could strike up a conversation with anyone. He didn’t know any strangers which made him a natural for driving commuter bus at First Transit. He loved the interaction and socializing with his many friends and took pride in taking good care of his passengers.
Charles also had a special bond with cats, especially his adoring cat Max who will greatly miss his dad.
Charles left behind his loving wife Barbara, his mother Jean Furulie, siblings Betsy (Jim) Fink, Mary Guzman, Tim Whetstine, Carol (Tim) Storbeck, Joe (Rose) Whetstine, and Sister-in-law Ruth Whetstine. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and 3 great nephews.
