Christie E. C. (Berg) Gravallese
December 25, 1946 – October 24, 2018
My beloved Christie went home to be with the Lord and Saviour on Oct.24, 2018. She and her husband John had recently move to Las Vegas and she was very happy and stated " it's like being on vacation everyday"! Christie liked walking and exercising with her husband John in their swimming pool. After a short hospital stay she passed over to her new heavenly mansion. Christie was born in Everett, WA, Dec. 25, 1946. She grew up in the Everett area, graduating from Cascade High in 1965. She attended Open Bible College in Eugene, Ore., Mr. Lee’s Beauty School, and Silver Lake Bible College. Chris’s life had been full. Her early years were spent attending church at Fairmont Open Bible. It was here at the age of ten years old she committed her life to Christ and the call of ministry followed. Her work in the church included Sunday School, Children’s Church teacher, youth leader and women’s ministries. In 1984, Christie left for South Africa ministering to the people she loved. In 1990, she met the love of her life, John Gravallese. Christie co-pastored with her husband John at Hosanna Christian Fellowship. She also held the position of Senior Pastor / President of Way of Holiness Prison Ministries where she brought the love of Christ to many. Christie was not only Identified as a woman of God but she brought a love and compassion to all the women that they never experienced before. For over ten years she held conferences, Sunday sevices, bible studies and leadership classes at both Purdy Women’s Prison and Mission Creek Women’s Prison. She was a speaker for Women’s Aglow as well as numerous Women’s conferences and churches. Christie was a true woman of God who never compromised her beliefs and knew how to stand in both good times as well as tough times. Her life was truly dedicated to the Lord's work. Christie was preceded in death by her father Melvin Berg, mother Lois Berg, and brother Jack Berg. She is survived by her loving husband John Gravallese, children Lisa, Gaetana, John and daughter-in-law Kristie. Grandchildren Kara, Giovanni, Guiseppe, Samantha, Brianna, Elijah and Great Grandson Jackson. Her special nieces Tiffany and Sundee and nephew Ryan and their families. And many wonderful relatives and friends. Her smile, the twinkle in her eye, her loving generous heart, her love of children, her caring ways, and her love for the Lord will be missed by all who knew her. The battle is over, the victory is won, and peace is yours. Till we meet again my beloved, rest always in the presence of our Lord Jesus. Pastor John and family,
We rejoice in having known this mighty woman of God. We were privileged to minister along with the two of you and blessed to call you friends. The ladies that she gave herself so completely for at Purdy send their love. Hebrews 11:13 says "These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth." Having spoken to both of you on the 21st,just a few days before God called her home, I know that she held to her faith to the finish line, was persuaded by it, embraced it and confessed. We love her...we love you. May God continue to bring you comfort.

Pastor Christie, you will be so very missed by many. You and Pastor John were not just our pastors but friends. I remember how you prayed and believed with me for a new home and God blessed us with a new home. You loved and encouraged us to go deeper in God. You lived the life you taught. Faith works by love. That is who you are.

Since the 1st time we met, you were always so kind, loving, and generous. You treated me as your own daughter and you were always there when I needed a listening ear, shoulder to cry on, and babysit. I always admired how you’d go on helping others even when you didn’t feel well and were in pain, you are such a strong woman! You paid very close attention to what we all liked especially food!
Johnny, your grandchildren, and I are going to miss you, but we know that we will see you again. We love you mom❤️
