June 8, 1942-May 29, 2014
Born in Port Townsend, Wash., Clarence met the love of his life Nancy (Steele) when he was age 18 and before long they were starting a family and putting down roots in Everett.
For years he worked in various jobs to provide for a growing family, including stints in the restaurant and construction industries; the majority of his adult life was spent working at Canyon Lumber in North Everett.
Clarence cherished the simple pleasures in life, especially fishing at Twin Lakes in Snohomish County, restoring antique cars and gardening. He particularly loved to watch the gardening shows with Ed Hume and Ciscoe Morris.
While we grieve and try to grapple with the enormity of his passing, we take comfort knowing he is reunited with his love of 53 years, Nancy, who sadly left this world just five months earlier.
Clarence is survived by his daughter Tina, sons Ralph, David, Artie and Dwayne and his brother John “Bud” Potterf. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and several siblings.
He will be laid to rest at a graveside service at Evergreen Funeral and Cemetery on Friday, June 6 at 1 p.m.
Arrangements under the direction of Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery, Everett, WA.
