Dana Wade Waldram

Dana Wade Waldram, 75, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, after a long battle with Parkinsons disease. Life giving to the end, his many caretakers loved his gentle, peaceful, and caring nature. To his last breath these helpful people would frequently be at side in his Hospice bedroom, appreciating his life.

Dana was born on September 26, 1950, to a family in Spokane that did not know how to appreciate the young man in their family. At the age of 16 Dana went to live with his foster family Lucky and Rosemarie Koffkey and their four children. This was an immense blessing for Dana and was the catalyst for him later becoming a caring husband and father.

At the age of 18 Dana enlisted in the army, spending 4 years serving our country, mostly in Germany. After leaving the army he settled in Seattle where he met the love of his life Ruth Townliand. They married in 1975, staying married throughout the rest of his life. Ruth had 2 children at the time. Dana and Ruth had no children together.

Dana spent many years working for Jamco as a Material Handler. With his health declining he had to retire from the job that he loved. His supervisors and coworkers threw him quite the farewell party with many wonderful gifts.

Dana met Ruth at the Ballard Free Methodist Church, where they faithfully served in various capacities for over 50 years. When they moved to Everett, they attended LifePoint Church. Dana was a true man of faith and prayer who loved Jesus wholeheartedly.

These stories embody the life of Dana Waldram. In his early years he did not receive much attention from his family. But by the end of his life, he was loved by everyone who knew him. His greatest joy was being with his children and their families. He will truly be missed.

Dana is survived by his wife Ruth of 50 years, his daughter Cheryl Childs (Alan), son Wes Townliand (Michele), grandchildren Stephanie Childs, (Graham Regan), Michelle Childs, Amanda Childs (Jake Gillson), Nathan Childs, David Townliand and preceded in death by grandson Matthew Townliand. Dana is also survived by his great grandchildren Aliya and Ronan Childs.

Dana is preceded in death by his parents Herman and Rose Marie Koffkey and survived by his brother Ken Koffkey (Cheryl), sister Kimberly LoVette (Byron, deceased), Craig Koffkey, Timothy Koffkey (Heidi).

A celebration of Dana’s life will be held on August 13th at 2:00 PM at the Warm Beach Senior Community Center, Beachwood.
