

David Adrian Ayling, Sr. was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 14, 1946 and died in Everett Washington on April 13, 2017 after a brief illness. He grew up in the Everett area and attended school in Snohomish. He worked for Boeing nearly 30 years, retiring in 2001 as an Aviation Machinist. While there he helped start up the Boeing Everett plant and worked on the first 747.
Dave was a loving father, uncle, cousin and friend to many. He is survived by his son, David Ayling, Jr. and his companion for over 30 years, Linda Hayes. He is also survived by Cindy and Jason Hayes and Tiffany Ayling, as well as his former wife Jennifer, sisters Mary Lou, Thelma and Patti; nephews bob, Dick, Meredith, Ron, Steve, Bobby, Todd, Ted, Bill, Tim, Tracy and Tom; and niece Tammy, Karen, Sue, Nancy, Terry, Kathryn, Cindy and Marie. Also surviving are grandchildren Brandin, Josh (son David); Paige, Kane and Drew Ayling (Tiffany and tom Ayling) and Nathan and Brady Hayes (Jason and Kathy Hayes; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Dave was predeceased by brother George Jr., Ted, Meredith and sister Virginia; and by his parents, George and Marian Ayling.
Dave was a kind and loving person and will be remembered for his music, his friendship and his selfless, sincere and caring attention to all who knew him. Dave could play his guitar by ear, had a wonderful singing voice and was a great entertainer. He touched many lives and the ability to make friends with all he came in contact with. He will be missed by all.
