An honest, hard working and self made man, he started his life from a small village in West Bengal (Karui, Burdwan). As a sincere student he had moved to Krishnanagar and Nabadwip (towns in Nadia district) for further studies and eventually settled in Kolkata. He loved helping people and worked tirelessly for the next 30 years as a civil engineer for various municipalities around Kolkata, planning and building infrastructure to bring basic necessities like water and sanitation to residents. Later at the age of 50, he studied Homeopathy and became a certified doctor. He provided free treatment and medicine to his patients for over 20 years. He spent his retirement traveling to Dubai (UAE), London (UK) and Seattle (US) to spend time with his family which he enjoyed very much. In the end, he felt he had lived a long and fulfilling life. He is survived by daughter, Indrani and son, Indraneil who live in London and Seattle respectively.
