Dolores Ann McMullen

Dolores Ann Hall Agostinelli Murgo McMullen passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026, at the age of 89.

Born on October 5th, 1936, and raised in Everett, Washington, Dolores was the daughter of Doris and Ray Hall and the sister of Ray "Bill" Hall, Jr.; all preceded her in death. She graduated from Everett High School in 1955 and remained proud of her Everett roots throughout her life.

Dolores lived a long and beautiful life, one filled with love, family, laughter, and enough adventures to collect a few names along the way. Each chapter of her life brought something meaningful. Her first husband gave her children. The second gave her family, home, and hearth. The third brought her opportunities to travel and enjoy a wonderful retirement. Though she sadly outlived them all, the love and memories they shared remained woven into the story of her life.

Above all else, Dolores was devoted to her family. Loyal, caring, and steadfast, she found her greatest joy in the people she loved. She was the proud mother of three daughters: Sebrina (Vance Odell), Lisa (John Hooper), and Dina Crane. Her love for her children never diminished with time. In fact, she spoke of them so often and with such pride that people would sometimes ask how old her children were, only to be surprised to learn they were all grown adults.

The same dedication she gave her family was reflected in her 34-year career with Sears, where she worked at both the downtown Everett store and the Alderwood Mall location, ultimately serving as a retail manager. Even after many years of retirement, Dolores spoke fondly of her time at Sears, carrying with her cherished memories and lifelong friendships from those years.

Service to others was also an important part of Dolores's life. She spent much of her adult life as a member of Tulalip Council No. 11 of the Degree of Pocahontas, an organization dedicated to serving those in need in the Everett community. She took great pride in her membership and in the meaningful work the organization provided.

When she wasn't working or participating in Pocahontas activities, Dolores loved spending time at her beloved cabin on Tyee Beach on Camano Island. There she enjoyed gathering family and friends, sharing meals, laughter, and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Her hospitality was legendary, and everyone who visited felt welcomed and loved.

Perhaps no role brought Dolores more happiness than being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She treasured being "Grammy" and later "Gigi" to her growing family. There was often a grandchild or great-grandchild nestled on her lap while she sang songs and invented stories. One family favorite was her ever-changing rendition of "Hot Rod Hannah," a song whose words were rarely the same twice. She delighted in making up verses, creating her own special language, and bringing smiles to the faces of little ones.

In fact, if Dolores didn't know a word, she simply invented one, and somehow everyone always knew exactly what she meant.

Dolores is survived by her daughters, Sebrina (Vance Odell), Lisa (John Hooper), and Dina; her grandchildren Shannon (Eric Murphy), Kaitlyn (Darryl Wood), Justin Hooper, Jillian (Bennie Sheffield), Jessalyn Hooper, Jace Hooper, and Tanner Crane; and her beloved great-grandchildren Finnegan, Ireland, Jameson, Gaia, Traycen, Sadie, and Sophie.

She is also survived by her cherished niece, Kerry (Chuck Farrell); her grandniece and grandnephew, Jessica and Ross Bingham; along with many cousins, including Wayne Alkire (Gayle), extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

Dolores leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, generosity, and devotion to family. Her stories, her songs, her made-up words, her unforgettable cooking, and most of all, her unconditional love will live on through the generations who were blessed to call her mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Though she is gone from our sight, she will never be gone from our hearts.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers at The Terrace at Beverly Lake, who treated Dolores with dignity, kindness, and love. Special thanks are also extended to the remarkable Providence Hospice team, whose support and care during her final weeks brought great comfort to Dolores and her family.

A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum on Friday, September 25th, 2026, at 12:00pm. A celebration of life will immediately follow at Lisa and John’s house.
