

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd Donald Murphy (Don aka Murph), beloved husband, devoted father, grandfather, brother, kind friend and hero. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones at 1:00 PM on January 23, 2026 at his home in Granite Falls, Washington.
Don was born on the 2nd of October 1942 in Dover, York County, PA. He served as a National Guardsman, devoted servant of God, missionary, scout master, chimney sweep and he retired from Laborers Local 242 with 38 years of outstanding service. Don raised his family in the Silver Lake area of South Everett, WA and retired out of Granite Falls, WA. The love for his wife, family and Husky dogs was only surpassed by his booming laugh.
He is preceded in death by his parents John Lewis and Gladys Florine Murphy, brothers John Lewis Murphy, Roger Dale Murphy, sister Lorma Jean Hart, wife and soulmate of 49 years Donna Mae Murphy (Thom), sons Theodore Donald Murphy, Timothy Lloyd Murphy, daughter Teri Murphy, grandson Cameron Murphy and great-grandchildren Sebastian Mathis and Celine Freeman.
Don is survived by brother Steven Murphy (Mike), daughters Teresa Mathis, Tammy Patzer, 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Chapel memorial service to be held 10:00 AM February 7th, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 18218 100th St NE, Granite Falls, WA. Viewing will be on February 7, 2026, from 9:00 am to 9:55 am at the church. Graveside ceremony at 1:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery 4504 Broadway, Everett, WA 98203.
