Mrs. Dorothy Marie Hansen

Dorothy Marie Hansen, resident of Everett Washington, passed away on November 7, 2012. Dorothy was born October 14th, 1938 in Everett Washington. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents William H. and Florence H. (Martinia) Thompson and her husband Loren Sigfred Hansen.

Dorothy is survived by her son Greg Hansen; daughters Lori DaSilva (Joe), Christy (John) Peterman and Kathy (Randy) Miller as well as grandchildren Jenny (Stewart) Wilson, Amy (Jacgrey) Colina, James Hansen (Ashley Roehm), Shannon (Scott) Fowler, Kelsey Peterman and Kenidy Peterman; great-grandchildren Betty Wilson, Gabrielle Wilson, Chi Fowler and Solomon Fowler; sister Phyllis (Pete) Petersen, brother Duane (Judy) Thompson and brother in law Remi Hansen (Chris).

Dorothy, a long time of Everett Washington, worked several years for the Mukilteo School District in the food service department; many years at Mariner High School and later at Discovery Elementary School. She had several friends there, and would talk about her days at the schools often

Dorothy loved music (especially country & western), dancing, Painting and loved to garden; planting a variety of flowers each year. She also loved animals; taking care of her cats and enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels that would visit her yard.

Our family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the staff at Providence Regional Medical Center, Colby Campus. Your caring and understanding have been much appreciated. We would also like to thank Pastor Lewis Benson of Ebenezer Lutheran Church, as well as many friends and family for your prayers and well wishes.

A celebration of Dorothy's Life will be held at 1:00pm, Monday November 19, 2012 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Lake Stevens Washington.
